Why we’re proud of our vegan beauty at Gasm Cosmetics

There are lots of beauty brands out there that claim that they’re vegan or not tested on animals – but that doesn’t always mean the same thing as being cruelty-free.

Some use mink hair in their products or certain ingredients where there aren’t really assurances that ingredients or products have actually been sourced ethically. Strictly speaking, this means that a brand isn’t vegan.

At Gasm Cosmetics we believe that looking good shouldn’t have to feel bad, so we’ve worked with our manufacturers to ensure that all of our products are suitable for vegans, cruelty-free and sourced ethically. Here’s how we do it:

• We don’t (and won’t) use mink in any of our products – mink hair is best left on the mink in our opinion, not on your lashes. We use premium synthetic lashes that replicate the look and feel of mink to ensure that you can flutter your lashes with a clear conscience.
• We know where our products come from – there’s nothing shady going on here, we work closely with our manufacturers to know what’s going on with our products, so you can stay reassured about quality, ingredients and safety.
• We work with cruelty-free ingredients – none of our products are tested on animals, meaning you can enjoy our guilt-free vegan beauty products. Check out the ingredients of our products on our website.
• None of our products contain animal extras – there are no animal by-products in any of our range. This means no beeswax, milk, egg whites, honey, lanolin, collagen, colourings made from animal products, snail or horse hair (to name just a few of the most common non- vegan cosmetic ingredients out there).

Research from the Vegan Society , shows that in the UK people want to buy vegan beauty products and online searches for this doubles every year. We’re proud of you for wanting to make a more ethical choice, and we want you to be proud of our products too! The ingredients we use are the best ones for the job at hand, we just made sure that they were totally vegan and cruelty-free. No compromising on quality or style here (we promise that we would never).

The days of vegan cosmetics being something that you had to buy in specialist health shops or alternative markets is gone. We’re here to help shake off the misconception that you can’t be vegan and stylish…look at you all, what a bunch of babes!
